I'm sorry. I began posting in the car for MJ & it all got a little crazy from that point on.

The nice thing about getting new birds about the same time as you & MJ is we're all in the same boat. I know I need to be more patient than I am by nature & take things slowly. MJ has done a wonderful job with her 2. Super impressed. Not sure I can emulate that but we shall try.:D
I still don't think I'm due any credit - imejust lucky to have such a large chicken yard and the ratio of old hens to young pulkets worked out well.

Other than these two things, all I did was watch and try to provide, and you're already good at doing that Ribh.

MJ: I have decided on names, having spent a good part of this morning watching & listening & with some idea of temperament now.
Campines: from oldest down~ Morrigu [great queen], Mebh [intoxicating] , Aife [beauty] They were all queens of Ireland. :lau
Wyandottes are named for the Picts who were little & hidden [supposedly]: Wrold & Alpia
The Araucanas have Scottish names: Beatha [life] Mhari [loved]

Now the Gaelic speakers can all be cross @ me & everyone else can ask how to pronounce them! :gig And yes, there have been name changes. They may change again before we are done but for now....

I love their names!! But I'll also love any new names you switch to :gig:gig

Jeannie, I wanna know... I should speak Gaelic but grandma never taught me.:gig
Morrigu as written; Mebh get Angelised to Maeve & Aife to Eva ~ roughly. No idea about Pictish but as no~one else knows either take them as written. Beatha is pretty much as written but the MH in Mhari is a V sound so Vari. Again roughly. I don't speak Gaelic either.
