If you’d called them céilidh and pìobaireachd, I know how to pronounce those. I went to uni with a girl called Meadhbh, which was pronounced Maeve and my sister’s dog’s name is Aiofe, which we pronounce as “Eefer”. So it sounds like you are pretty close to the mark.

I can do céilidh . Pìobaireachd I'd have trouble with. I've given the Angelised versions as the easiest. My YD has an Irish name, which I know is pronounced incorrectly & she knows is pronounced incorrectly & which our Irish friends always remind us is pronounced incorrectly but as an Aussie kid she was always going to get the Aussie version so we went with it. I like that too so we're all good.

The trouble with heart-shaped chocolate is that they always have soft centers - strawberry cream or whatever. I am a complete chocoholic but cannot stand soft centers so Valentine's day is the one day when I avoid chocolate!

That’s the argument I hear against Valentine’s Day; it should be all year round, not just one day!

If my hubby wants to show me how much he loves me, he can vacuum the whole house and scrub the toilets.

I only really like very dark chocolate ~ preferably loaded with nuts, so I don't do well @ Valentine's Day or Easter when everything is milk anyway & I cannot abide milk chocolate!

Pìobaireachd is pronounced ‘pibroch’ (or ‘peebrock’ if you want to get really Anglo! ) My son’s name is Gaelic and my hubby insists it’s Scottish Gaelic instead of Irish Gaelic, and both sets of grandparents insisted on pronouncing it the Anglo version, until we put a stop to that!

I get the 85% dark chocolate and I find two squares does me nicely with a cup of tea. I can’t stand white chocolate so no problems there (it’s not even chocolate anyway!) but I’m addicted to milk chocolate. So it’s easier to just stay away.

Ok, I know @Shadrach has probably gone to bed now but Here are my first 2 profiles.

Beatha.
Araucana. Pretty sure she's just started to lay. She was pretty easy to catch & no racing, palpitating heartbeat once caught. She was pretty laid back about being photographed, though not knowing this big stranger who hoyed her out of her pen & pointed funny things @ her she was still a little skittish.

As you can see she has a beard, something of a crest & some sort of muffs developing. I will be interested to see what her finished persona looks like. She's a splash but there is very little colour on her.

And the tail.It looks longer than it is in this photo. It's pretty short stumpy & points down.

Quite a bit younger by the looks. No beard, no muffs & only a small crest showing.

She was far more skittish to catch but calm enough about being held & carted round my yard.

She's a slightly smaller bird too.
