I love being outside as well whenever I have a day off, you can find me roaming the property and taking pictures that is what I truly enjoy doing.

I think everyone has "learned their place". The most fun is watching the Newbies expand their range across the yard. They have about 1/2 of the yard explored in the first week.

I've just taken Donk off her outside nest and confiscated her eggs. She had eleven, two from Myth.
Donk does not like being handled under any circumstances. You can touch her beak and give her tail feathers a swipe if you're quick.
When I picked her off her nest her little heart was going nineteen to the dozen O worry about her having a heart attack. She's back in the coop with her tribe now. She'll probably go and sit in the empty nest for a few hours tomorrow and then find somewhere else and we'll go through it all over again.
I must have stuck my hand in some nettles or similar because my hand has gone all red and blotchy.
The Marans brown egg that surprised me when I found it in the house nest box is down to Moon. She's laid a couple more in the maternity unit. If her sister Tap laid an egg today I have no idea where it is.

Good Spring morning from Fluffy Butt Acres.

Yall, I was so close to walking out of the feed store with two new babies today... springtime is ever so tempting to have new babies of any sort! But while I was “playing” with them.. there was one that just seemed to need.. and love me ... everywhere I would put my finger it would run over anyone in the way to get back to my finger.. how could I leave such a sweet thing.... plus, I also discovered that if you poke your finger at the food like a beak then all the little chickies come running to eat and peck at the food underneath your finger... it’s SO sad.. they think it’s a mama
So, I may be going back to get me some more pipsie chicks... what’s two more.. right??

I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised at how well behaved this dog has been. He has been learning and getting better every day.

The babies are all doing great! They are all eating, drinking, and playing. No pasty butt and Mama is doing a great job!



Only problem is Bob... he is an escape artist!!! This morning he was stuck behind the radiator! Thank goodness I heard him.
