About 17.8C, rainy & with wind about to pick up again from the wsw ~ which means it will be cold. You guys will be warming up as we cool down.

Had our first load of firewood dropped off yesterday & if it keeps raining the fire will go on so the house doesn't feel damp.

Oooo. I love a good fire for warmth. It's just so cozy with a good rug.

No, this is a good temp for me. I prefer things coolish to warmish & I loath humidity. Another month & I'll probably be miserable.

Spring and fall are the best times of the year.

One of my lads likes to really stoke the fire up & then opens all the windows!
I like it just enough to take the chill off the air with some nice flames to watch.

I agree. I prefer Autumn just for the sunrises & that lovely crisp morning freshness.

The frost too. It kills all the pollen makers that give me trouble.

The cool after the hot summer, the smell of leaves, and the harvest. Love the fall.

Frost is rare here ~ like snow. Hardly ever happens & when it does it's a novelty!

I too love fall and spring. Here weather can get really wacky with really hot days, when it should be cool and really cold days, when it should be warm. One of the reasons I don't incubate prior to 4/15 is we've seen hard freezes during the first two weeks of April. I also have to be mindful of the foretasted high. We left here one morning it was 1C, we had a long trip to a lumber yard, when we got home it was 45C in the greenhouse and we had 7 dead birds.

I've traveled the world over and only found one place where temps were fairly constant year round @ 21C and what is better is that you can drive to your desired temp just depending on direction, but it's a place that I would NEVER live.

That's the problem. It stays cool month after month. Such a waste.
