Ribh's D'Coopage

These ones actually can't sting. They don't have a stinger. They aren't defenseless though, Nancy. The European Honey bee is their natural enemy & they are rather vicious. They bite the legs off the honeybee & that's it for the honeys!
I was wondering about that. Wow! I guess that would work. Clever buggers.

It truly is. :love

Davis begs me to rub his belly. He will be walking down the hall in front of me stop and roll over so I have to rub it.
My present boys are both rescues. I chose Marlow on the basis of his profile pic; he was lying on his back with his tummy exposed. He was very timid to start with but he was a cat I confidently expected to come round given time ~ & he has. I'm not a big fan of tuxedos so had no intention of taking his brother, who is much, much flightier & far less trusting but I'm a sucker. The brothers were bonded & older kittens. Kirby's chances of finding a happy home were fast receeding so I took both. 🙄 He is a very expensive rescue. One of my lads turned up unannounced in the middle of the night, snacked on leftover chicken & left the bones out. Kirby got the wishbone stuck 1/2way down his gullet. We had to listen to him hawking all night & the vet trip was traumatic! Marlow thought we were taking his brother away for good & he'd never see him again. He was completely traumatised. When we returned with a very drugged but wishbone free Kirby their reunion was touching. I guess they'd both seen a lot of cats taken away to never return.

What a beautiful kitty! :love

As I said before, it’s the only thing that saves him (well, that and the fact he was my brother’s cat). Like a lot of oriental cats he developed an oral obsession and started chewing holes in clothes and soft furnishings. Corners off towels and cushions, holes in the couch covers, clothes, shoes etc. Anything you don’t want chewed has to be behind a closed door. He’s not as bad as he was but he’ll still chew something occasionally. Oh, and he has a thing for plastic, particularly bubble-wrap (nom-pops) and sticky-tape.

I'm so glad it all worked out well. I can't imagine if you had only taken Marlow how he may have reacted. He might never have become the cat he is now with the trama of being separated from Kirby. Well done! :clap

That would be seriously irritating. You are quite the saint putting up with that.

There was a point where I got very close to having him put down or given away. Luckily I didn’t (and probably would never have got there anyway) and he’s calmed down a bit, and we’ve been more vigilant about putting things away.

Funny side note: my father-in-law has just heard about your bunnies! :lau I showed my son your pictures and he rang his grandfather to tell him about the mice and he mentioned your bunnies!:gig

Butter wouldn’t melt.
