I love the way journalists have leapt onto this obscure bit of research and assumed this is necessarily a good thing.Playing jazz is the only discipline that fires all the neurons in the brain @ once.

She did.Thank you Bob.
It's hard to get a good sunset from here but I thought Ribh and everyone might like a nice colour contrast.![]()
I had ADDH kids & kinesthetic learners. I figured it was a very good thing.I love the way journalists have leapt onto this obscure bit of research and assumed this is necessarily a good thing.![]()
What is your instrument? If you don't mind me asking rjohns.I like it quiet as well. But when I listen to music, I want to hear the full range of dynamics. Mom used to complain when I listened because the "music had loud parts" When I was practicing to play the 1812 overture I had it pretty much full volume and listened intently for the nuances across the different instrumentals and especially my parts. Mom surrendered and bought me a headset. She was then totally confused as I would play a part, then play it again, then again... Until I finally got it right. But without the music in the background she couldn't follow what I was doing. My favorite piece was Contrasts by Jimmy Dorsey. It took me more than two years to get from the sheet music to his live concert. Finally figured out that every concert was different and he didn't read sheet. But when I latched onto a piece I just couldn't let it go.
It was very dry too. I lost a few azaleasThey were all supposed to survive a Qld summer but last year was so hot they didn't make it.![]()
Saxophone, pretty much any flavor. In HS and College it was the tenor for symphonic band and alto for pep and jazz. I always loved the soprano but could never justify buying one. What is your instrument? If you don't mind me asking rjohns.
I have a big branch fixed about 3' up in run #2 of the Chicken Palace - they like to have their preening parties up there. A few days ago I saw them all standing on the branch calmly watching a fox walk past and out to the field. No panic at all. I wonder if they know they are safe inside the Palace.Sort of. Some territorial calls sound like alarms & it's rare for the girls to react to nearby alarm calls though they will sometimes react to something they hear in the far distance. I'm not sure if they can communicate what sort of predator & the level of threat. Possibly. My girls don't always react. But then I've seen them stand & watch a monitor lizard ~ & that should definitely alarm them!
Wouldn't the chickens enjoy some Raccoon meat? Feels like justice to me!See my response to Ribh...

I ate the first one, but was afraid after the two with rabies to eat the others. Raccoon is a good eats animal if it's healthy. As a general rule, I don't want to kill if I'm not going to eat it, but I have to change the rules when I don't want to eat it, but it wants to eat my birds.
I didn't know whether to react "wow" or "love" then I remembered I went "love" last time - either way, those colours! The Reflected Sunset.
