Ribh's D'Coopage

I am back worry warting about Alpia.
She had bubbles in both eyes last night ~ but no respiratory symptoms that I could tell. I washed both eyes out well & got a bit of dirt out. She seems to have problems that way. I'm waiting on enough light & a let up in the rain to go check her this morning.

More trips into the Big Coop. The man couldn't believe what she was letting me do to her. So thankful she is one of my easily handled ones!

Are all her eyelids working properly. The transparent lid that moves from side to side is the wiper lid and that keeps the eye clean.

Denagard is my go to for respritory issues.
I always check the pallet for snotty/puss and the names as well.
Pinch their nose like a little kids who doesn't now how to blow. LOL

Sometimes they do just get an irritation in their nasal passages that makes them have bubbly eyes. Their eyes don't water they bubble.

Thanks for your input @FlyingNunFarm . I don't think it's respiratory. I've had her to the vet to be checked. My man said allergies ~ lol, but he may be right. All the humans are sinusy just now. Lots of dust & pollen. She was clear the next morning & has stayed clear. I will keep an eye on her.

Good thought, Shad. I think they are. The eyelid comes across when I wipe her eye The man you feel so sorry for suggested allergies, lol, because all the humans are sinusy just now. Lots of dust & pollen from all the wind we've had. None of the other hens seem to be having any issues so it may just be her & something I need to keep an eye on. It does bother her. I think she doesn't see so well when it happens & she becomes quieter than normal & a little unsure. She always perks right up once I've cleared her eyes.

Fudge here had a sticky wiper lid after an eye injury (I'll get a picture up later) It did clear up eventually but it was worrying when it got stuck.

Thanks, Shad. Experienced keepers like you are invaluable to people like me who don't know so much. :hugs
