Hey there, Bob.Good morning Folks![]()
So far, so good. Going to have a short day tomorrow so that's good. Love the color of your yolks. We grow the best eggs. Soooooo many people have no idea what a good egg is.Hey there, Bob.Having a good week?
So true! My mother does not like chickens but she loves our eggs & always asks any one visiting to bring her up a dozen or so.So far, so good. Going to have a short day tomorrow so that's good. Love the color of your yolks. We grow the best eggs. Soooooo many people have no idea what a good egg is.
The social dynamics of chicken lives are endlessly fascinating. I'll never work my lot out but they are good fun. These two seem to have made up. Fat Bird has not been Cillin friendly the past few days. A lot to do with him following Fudge about like a dog on a lead. Fudge is laying eggs while of course Fat Bird isn't really. She even left the coop with him this morning rather than waiting for a lift.

Do they change in some way seasonally, Bob?Our eggs go through phases, spring, summer, fall, winter... They actually teach this in chef's school.
They are richer in spring - fall and less in winter. It has to do with available grass and bugs. Of course, that does assume snow in winter.Do they change in some way seasonally, Bob?
