@BY Bob: The tables are refurbished wood. I got two ~ one for each end of the lounge. At least people in this house mistook them for paintings when they arrived as flat packs but they are great general purpose tables I don't worry about damaging them the way I do my *nice* one.
I know! They are shockingly long even given what a big girl she is! Even my BRs can't compete for size.

Am I really that blunt?
I do try not to offend but the cultural differences between certain parts of the USA and my Scottish attitude exacerbated by the Catalonian very blunt style of speech, means as soon as I open my mouth I've upset someone here on BYC it seems. My sense of humour seems to cause some outrage as well.
The Catalans are even less tactful and polite than the Scotts!

Plus the chickens went visiting the neighbours yesterday because they had spent all day spreading mulch on new garden beds & needed extra help spreading it around!
Having spent 20 minutes rounding everyone up I nearly stepped on the one chirping @ my feet. I had missed Aoife in the general round up & she had come to see why I wasn't chasing her! As soon as she saw I'd seen her she squatted obligingly & waited to be carted off!
My workers, who pretty much promised to be available once the crabbing season ended are now netting & arrived wet & filthy on the incoming tide, used our shower, ate all the contents of the slow cooker & the stash of chocolate, draped their stinky wet weather gear over the fire guard & their boots on the hearth ~ don't you just love the smell of cooking rubber?! ~ & spliced their ropes on my brand new lounge before sloshing through the mangroves in the semi dark back to their boat, not to be seen again for the next 48 hours. *sigh*
it's not all doom & gloom. the sun still rises, the cats still purr & the chickens are laying. So here's this mornings sunrise...

Are houses built on islands more prone to be stolen or something?They are staying indefinitely while they save for a deposit on their own place. The lad owns a block of land outright but the bank is being difficult about a loan for a house because it's on the island. My son will help ~ but then he's out fishing most of the time...We will work something out. The bonus is the house is pretty big so there's enough room we should all be able to have our own space. Our bedroom is big enough to have it's own study/sitting area & I'm pretty good with small kiddies. So long as someone besides me cooks...
