My girls always look prettier when they are foraging free range. Thanks Bob. I was thinking they look rather drab against their dirt background. It doesn't really show them off.
I'm all good with slowing down for little helpers, being talked to death, the inevitable accidents & breakages but I don't do well with being argued with constantly. It is very wearing & it takes ages to get anything done. Once he learns I don't play we won't have the issues.![]()
Yep, my youngest is 22 and I still occasionally feel patronised. He might take 18 years learning that.My son is nine and he argues the toss over everything. He’ll argue with me about music and I’m a music teacher!

Can't help thinking of the saying, red sky in the morning, sailors warning.
Sadly too true ~ I have a couple like that.Yep, my youngest is 22 and I still occasionally feel patronised.
Maybe I'm just sensitive.
At least they are willing to listen to reason and "debate" rather than argue all the time.
Yes. I have strong views about grass in this country & if there weren't big dogs roaming free I'd give my girls some time in the vacant paddock across the road but they do so I don't. And they do love foraging in the deep litter that is everywhere in our yard so what they miss out on in one instance they get in another. My girls always look prettier when they are foraging free range.
While grass is a pain to maintain, it does make a beautiful backdrop for a chicken.![]()
Yep. Bad weather is supposed to be on its way. Can't help thinking of the saying, red sky in the morning, sailors warning.
They aren't really ~ but then you have a very discerning eye...Nope, not drab at all.
Absolutely. Scratching through leaf litter is much more interesting. Mine start off grazing but soon move to the garden beds and throw the mulch everywhere!Yes.
