I think that last sentence is true almost everywhere.We are used to inaccurate weather forecasts. Our little pocket, which falls in the greater Brisbane area, is actually between Brisbane & the Gold Coast, right on the water [which reliably drops our temperatures by several degrees in summer unless you live in the middle of the island & get no breeze] & has a unique ecological & climate fingerprint. Our weather forecaste is never right. It makes more sense to look out the window.

It's 47% now (today) at a bit under 37C. It's heading towards late afternoon now.
Pretty much. I grew up in Sydney but all the family was in Brissie. Dad would throw us all in the car before dawn & drive straight through. The only thing he stopped for was petrol. 600 miles with 1/2 his family hanging out the windows barfing. The lad does straight through drives Adelaide to Brisbane & the man & I did Cairns to Toowoomab [1665km] in a straight run with the rains following us & intermittent flooding threatening to engulf our poor little Volkswagen. Distances in Europe seemed so small by comparison. You can drive through 3 or 4 countries in the same distance.So neighbors then.
