Ribh's D'Coopage

We are used to inaccurate weather forecasts. Our little pocket, which falls in the greater Brisbane area, is actually between Brisbane & the Gold Coast, right on the water [which reliably drops our temperatures by several degrees in summer unless you live in the middle of the island & get no breeze] & has a unique ecological & climate fingerprint. Our weather forecaste is never right. It makes more sense to look out the window.:lau
I agree! Forecasts seem to be for a wider area. No matter where I live the temp is always 1-2 degrees off, but here on the peninsula sometimes the rain forecast is off too. I've watched it on the radar, rain is approaching over the gulf, gets to the peninsula and stops, gets past the peninsula and starts again!

How far apart are you and @Ribh ? I'm still planning my dream trip, would it be feasible to start in one part and finish in the other?

I don't understand what happens with the weather forecast here. Looking at a few on the net like Accuweather, they may as well be looking at a different country.
The weather staion here for the park, which should be reliable recorded 42 centigrade as the days high. Our mini weather station at the main house, which may not be reliable recorded 41 centigrade. The 43 centigrade in town was at the town halls weather station.
At those temperatures I am not sure I would care about accuracy - they are all the same temperature - it is called 'too damn hot'.
