I'm thinking the vaccine is a good option for folks with co-morbidities. And if we can accelerate vaccine research to outstrip virus evolution, then we'll be onto something.

I won't be lining up for any jabs any time soon. But, hey, Im in a really, really low risk area.

They're going to struggle then. Despite all the political bullshit and some rather arrogant statements from some of the scientists you can't control a virus and the idea that anyone is going to produce a vaccine that works in the long term is laughable. People here are getting flu jabs that are no longer effective.
I better stop. I can feel the room temperature rising and I've only just got it bearable after the heat.

Don't let me stop you, I've been saying this all along. I don't want to depress anyone but the reality is there is no solution coming in the short term. This is our reality for the foreseeable future.

That's the game. But it's not just creating the vaccine. It's making enough vaccine. There is no excess capacity for vaccine distribution. There is nowhere near enough syringes and vials being made. The system has no excess capacity. Those kinds of manufacturing facilities do not pop up overnight.

It's nice to have your house back I expect Ribh. One can never quite relax when there are guests around.

It is very nice to have my house back. No more health hazards littering the shower floor. No more 5 o'clock tantrums. The cats are back slothing on the lounge. The chickens are rejoicing. Love 'em to bits but very happy they are now in their own place.

We had beautiful weather here today and I spent all day in the garden trying to get ahead of the weeds.

There are a few things in bloom already.

Native Indigo (Indigofera australis)

Our self seeded peach tree (Prunus selfseedicus)

Heart's Ease (Viola iplantedmyselficus)

and some early Freesias. (Freesia smellsnicia)

(all scientific names carefully researched, but only one is correct )​
