Have you seen the aboriginal seasons on the BoM website? It's really interesting!

Here's one with six seasons. But there's only four in Kaurna country where I live.

The Ngoorabul is the only one near us [the seasons seem pretty right] & they have 5. They are not the traditional people's of this area though so I'm not sure what to make of the calendar.

While we're talking flowers and spring, here are the jasmine that climb on the henhouse smells gooooood.

Lovely! I have one just starting to trail along the verandah. I am looking forward to it blooming. Off to get my own flowery spring pics!

Freesias...

Azaelas...

Hyacinth...

Murraya.

My Jasmine isn't flowering yet & I haven't included our natives in these pictures.
The wattle & grevillias are only just starting to flower now.​

We are inches deep in the fine hairs all over our paths.

Beautiful, what spring brings here - is generally loads of mud and dandelions(weeds) sprouting everywhere.
