Everyone else seems to have ditched the lets have babies idea. At least for now.

It's been a while since I did a roosting post. That's Hepzibah cocking her head @ me wondering how serious I am about keeping her up there. Serious enough. I moved everyone into the Big coop as Broody jail has no protection & our weather has turned inclement & downright nasty. My good little bantams hopped up on a roost & settled down. Hepzibah got into a nesting box as soon as she thought I wasn't watching so she is back in broody jail. I will go out later & put her back on a roost as it is a mainland day tomorrow & I don't want to be fretting about a naughty chook.

All my big girls managed a top roost tonight but I swear there's something wrong with my Aracaunas. They haven't paled up with anyone, not even each other, & tend to hang on the edges of the flock. Beatha will come to eat from my hand but they are pretty skittish still.

That's interesting regarding the Aracaunas. It's really odd that they don't even pair up with each other. Loner chickens are very unusual in my experience. They are sleeping together at least. Interesting.

I have a few EEs that are extremely flighty! Two are my absolute favorite hens and come for hugs daily... and two are plain nutty! The new ones coming up.. Claud and Clem.... Clem will be my worst nut job and I can see Claud becoming one of the faves! So weird how that can be with all the same breed... ... they truly all just have their own individual personality that’s for certain!

I have a few EEs that are extremely flighty! Two are my absolute favorite hens and come for hugs daily... and two are plain nutty! The new ones coming up.. Claud and Clem.... Clem will be my worst nut job and I can see Claud becoming one of the faves! So weird how that can be with all the same breed... ... they truly all just have their own individual personality that’s for certain!

That is so true. My two were very different as well.
