Ribh's D'Coopage

They won't have been cheap to purchase either ~ or they wouldn't be out here ~ & then to just throw them away like that... :idunnoI'll never understand some people.
Me too. It seems so wasteful. I am so happy for CCCL. it certainly worked out for her.

As best as the neighborhood rumor mill knows, a couple of kids got these chicks from tractor supply and hid them from their parents. How they managed that, I have no idea. Once the parents found the birds they were quickly placed outside to fend for themselves. This only was a for a few days until my neighbor saw them in her bushes.

She then saw some big kids throwing rocks and sticks at them. She got them into her garage and then come by my place to see if I'd take them since I already had chickens. Rich immediately said bring them over. She brought them both over wrapped in a towel and have been here ever since.

It is clear they were not fed chick fed. They didn't know what a feeder or chicken fed was. All they would eat was food scraps, bread and grass. I finally have them eating proper fed.
An even sadder story. I find myself even more amazed in people.

I'm in trouble! My neighbor lady asked me to marry her (Long story, but I said in all fairness NO):idunno I crash and burn on relationships!

Does she know you sleep with chickens? That might put her off.

This morning's sunrise.
They are further to the south in summer.

I have to say, how did that get past your spell check? That is not a very nice way to describe your friends,. Now when I was in college I had some chums that would fit that description but I think this lot of chickens friends are nicer than that. 😉

I did notice that. ;)
