Ribh's D'Coopage

I'm doing pretty good, thank you. Our weather is starting to turn on us and they're calling for snow this weekend. Sadly, I've got some porcupines running around the yard looking completely pitiful. Like my Goldie girl:

Hopefully those feathers start popping soon!
Oooh, that's a rough moult! Hopefully she'll start feathering out again before it gets really cold.

Well, there's a first. ;) I state opinions like this & I usually get shot down in flames. By comparison to some periods of history the 21st century is idyllic! Not perfect by any means but a lot better than almost any other time in history that I can think of off hand.
Yes! Because gradually we've taken responsibility for building more robust and egalitarian social systems. Still a long way to go and guilt doesn't do a great job of supporting us in carrying that work forward. So while I don't feel guilty for the pasts of others, I do feel compassion for past and present wrongs and I take responsibility for my part shaping the future.

I really should stay focused on chicken talk, but I couldn't help myself  it's such an interesting topic

Thanks for that. :) I try ~ but no~one ever has all the facts, not even the people who were there @ the time. Covid is a perfect example. Whole cities get shut down but it hasn't affected us @ all because of where we live & the fact we already worked from home. Yet ask someone in Sydney or Melbourne & their whole lives have been disrupted.
See...I made a perfect example of myself for what you just stated...no one is perfect, least of all me...Lol! ;)

It's my fault. I am easily distracted. :)

That's my hope. It was 24°f(-4°c) last night, but her coop isn't drafty. I do wonder how they feel when the temps drop and they look like that, though! 🥶
🥶 I don't know how you all cope with temps like that. I'm whinging if we dip into single figures. Even the low teens make me shiver.

Same with me. Social distancing for covid caused very little disruption to my normal lifestyle, but a lot to my work tasks. My bestie lives in Melbourne and has experienced significant inconvenience.

Exactly. My brother lives on a boat @ Cairns & lucky to even know it's happening. :)
