Ribh's D'Coopage

My lenses tend to end up rather scratched. I have a cat who likes to push my glasses around my face & that's before I drop them in the chook pen & accidently trample them. 🙄 I am very hard on my glasses but I need to carry them with me for any close up jobs. I haven't got brave enough to try bifocals yet. They look like migraine material to me.
I am near sighted and need my glasses to find where I put my glasses (or indeed not to walk into walls).

We've had a big day too. The man's back has been giving him curry so he had about 6 shots along his spine then a trip to the scan people. I had minor surgery. We both had our annual [& very late] eye tests done & ordered our new glasses. I've ordered thin lenses instead of the coke bottles I've been wearing & much bigger glasses. I hate feeling like I've got small old lady glasses perched on my nose! :( Chook food yarn & finally home to let the girls out & the cats in. They had a door open but hadn't found it... 🙄 Now I need coffee, coffee, coffee...☕☕☕
I hope your husbands back improves with the shots...that does not sound like a good time! I also hope you heal up from your surgery with no issues!

First it was Morrigu...

Then Ha'penny & Aoife came to supervise but obviously I can't be trusted to do anything properly on my own! Morrigu, Patricia, Wrold & Mhari felt I needed some help.

Yep. They know the new feed bag when they see it & were anxiously pooling round my feet while I figured out which bit of the thread to pull & upend it all into our big blue bin. I live in terror of losing control of one of those heavy bags & drowning a chicken in crumble!

Even Luna felt the need to help me out. 🙄

Quality control is important when it comes to the food supply...:D Love your girls! 💞

Another tick! That's crazy. How icky did you feel after rubbing it? I've got the wilburs again. :sick
🤮 I'm freaking out here. The ISAs cleared them out & we were tick free for years even after the ISAs demise. This lot are bringing them home! 🤢 Beatha is such a quiet, self sufficient little chookie I could easily never have noticed anything was wrong until it was way too late.

Roosting time, bring them in the house and check them over.
Yes, but there are a couple of problems with that. I really need strong natural light to see properly these days. We have good lighting throughout the house but it's still not good enough for things like splinters & ticks. The good news is most of my girls can be caught & handled relatively easily. Morrigu is completely feral but the least likely probably to get one.
