Part of the problem is I usually babysit them here & we have very few toys left. I tend to be very Waldorfian in my approach. Lots of tactile stuff. Lots of craft. Lots of outdoor play & movement. Parents pretty much the opposite. Lots of indoor. Lots of technology. Little creative play. If left without direction, even for short periods, they tend to become destructive so while we include them in any activity we're doing & give them jobs suited to their ability it puzzles me because I used to put our lot out the door & they found plenty to do & lots of creative play. Anything we do they tire of very quickly Honestly, I think technology should be completely banned for under 5's. It wires the brain in horrible ways.

Perhaps, when your girls are moulting, they could start a feather collection. Make sure they know not to take them direct from the chicken!.

Do they have a "nature table"? Or a tactile bag where they reach in and try to figure out what the item is they are feeling?

So many of my ideas require adult supervision or interaction, sorry. Can the man take them out in the boat for an hour or so?

Enjoying some outside time out the front.

They are incredibly calm birds in lots of ways but prone to being really ditzy @ times. I really don't know how to describe them. They're not shy, not flighty, not really timid. They are pretty confident birds but not overly so & have been accepting of tagging on to the bottom of the pecking order. They do tend to hang very much together. And they are very curious, adventurous birds. They were fence hopping & exploring their very first day out.

I did put Ceres & Titania back in the coop today. It's where they belong & I know Ceres was really fed up with the bathroom! What was really nice was Gloriana & Portia came rushing straight up to them to say hello, obviously delighted to have them back.

Children of all species exasperate their mothers!!!

Mocha decided rather then drink from the small cup, she would get INTO the dog's water to make it easier.

Mama was having a fit and bok-boking loudly at her to get out of there. I picked her out with no issues, a little shake and she was dry.
