That looks like cat heaven. I love that they are movable shelves. Very cool set up.

It was so fun when they were kittens but now just not so much!
I do have some similar things set up in the basement and they do sit on those when strangers come to the house and they want to hide.
I am wondering if I need some shelves in the den so they can lounge when I watch TV. Oh, wait, when I watch TV they lounge on me!

OK. I did my best. There is a cat but he didn’t want to go up on the wall.
When I added two new cats from the shelter they were so terrified of everything (i think they were probably feral) that they used to hide in the big boxes up by the ceiling.
They were both really sick and the girl died but her brother is now a huge black boy who has no need to hide from anything so prefers to sprawl in the sofa and snore. He would go up there if I asked but he needs his beauty sleep.

Great idea to put carpet on the shelves!

I guess you could use it for books if the cats are done?

They are really moveable and as such could be quickly reorganized. Then the cats could not reach your books! Irony right. They are not using the shelves because they want to eat your books. You use the shelves to move the books away from them!
