Little trick I learned growing up with my mother who was a certifiable crazy cat lady (not like all of us who just love cats and maybe have more than is strictly necessary!)..... Wipe her eye with a used teabag. Just let it cool. It will be clean having had boiling water on it and tea is an astringent so it reduces inflammation around the eye and sooths them and discourages infection. She seems to have watery eyes. It is all clear and the vet feels it is more likely allergies versus an infection. Since she's nursing and not bothered by it, I'm simply wiping her eyes with a damp cloth when needed.
As a kid I was put on kitten crusty-eye duty which meant wiping a lot of kittens eyes with teabags!
