Yep. The man's been on my case about that too.If the top of the order is not harassing them then they should be ok. You must mark all of your real eggs. You are going to have to remove the freshly laid ones every day.

For those who need to find fault with Éowyn, she has started recently to take her enormous tongue and groom me. It is very sweet except when she dies it too long. She gave me brush burns on my arm the other day!

You really should discourage her Bob.
Ivy was very good at taking care of herself too. But it took me one and a half broods to trust her.It tends to go all day long. Most of mine seem to be laying after lunch just now but Luna is usually an early layer. She's often in a nesting box when I open up. The Campines are really erratic. Most of the bantams seem to lay later in the day. The good news is most of my girls are laying in the small coop rather than vying for space in the big one. I've thought about shutting off the Big Coop once I open up & everybody's out but then my broodies lose the option to socialise when they come off the nest. My gut says to trust the girls know what they're doing despite all the difficulties I can see & my attempt @ intervention was a complete disaster. I want them to have the best possible chance to raise these chicks & they've determined the Big Coop is a better option than the Little Coop. I have no idea why. It does keep everybody right in the heart of the tribes & even in the egg the chicks will get a feel for how the tribes function.![]()
He’s a Chocolate Burmese. Yes he’s beautiful, but high maintenance and destructive. He has slowed down as he’s got older though. What kind of cat is the brown one with darker points? Very pretty cat.
They like to keep you on your toes! This morning's circus.
There are 3 hens in this box.
Ceres is not impressed.

I don't know what's happened to all the fake eggs. They seem to be missing entirely.
I put a freshly laid egg in the end box. Tsura investigated it but wasn't sure. Luna had no such inhibitions. She promptly hopped in & proceeded to tuck that egg under herself while Tsura changed her mind & decided she could beat Luna to it!
They are all complete lunatics!

You are in a much better postion for this than I am. I've always worked to break my broodies so am still learning to trust they are better @ this than I am.Ivy was very good at taking care of herself too. But it took me one and a half broods to trust her.
I’ve got some good kitty play videos, I’ll share them when I get a chance. How about a Caturday bonus?
Oh it will rise alright. Will this bread ever rise??
