Ribh's D'Coopage

Arts. I've put down writing as my major but I have options for History, Languages, Archaeology, Linguistics, English...if I wanted to be a professional student I easily could with this degree. It pretty much covers everything I'm interested in.
I confess to being quite jealous. I really hope it works out for you.

He's a good looking chap right enough but he needs some TLC. His SLM was left untreated and his legs are a mess. He's got some bald patches below his crop down past his gizzard. I think they're the result of his roost bar being too thin.
He has a slight limp from a fight a long time ago that didn't get properly seen to.
I'm hoping at some point he will with one of his favourites produce some sons and daughters.
I would love to see a few chicks in this tribe.

You don't have to be jealous, just choose a program and go for it!
You are probably right. I had trouble applying myself properly the first time around, I don't think that has got any easier with time.
I need to think about this. I retire in TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!
:wee:wee
A bit daunting too.

Choose something you really love. It makes applying yourself a whole lot easier ~ which explains why I have a useless degree to start with! 😄 Hopefully I am going somewhere with this one.

With my new exercise routine I've been pondering why so many of my favourite songs are from the UK and none from Australia. Then it hit me: they teach poetry to their kids. I mean, they really teach poetry.
I will tell you a sad, sad story. When YD was in grade 8/9 roughly she was desparate to do some drama so I let her join the island drama group ~ mostly because they were doing Shakespheare & I thought she'd take to him better if I wasn't the one saying how great he was. They were supposed to perform one short scene & had a whole term to learn & rehearse it. I stayed right out of it deliberately. It was never performed. No~one except my YD ever learnt their lines let alone understood what they were saying & said them in such a way they made sense. I was appalled. These weren't small children & most were in the top percent of their English class & were keen on drama yet none of them could memorise a little poetry & recite it in a meaningful way. Ok. Rant over. 😄

I'm really hoping someone will pipe up and tell us things are different now :fl
