Ribh's D'Coopage

I cannot get over what a lovely cat Davis is.
Every single one of mine would be all claws, teeth and hiss at the mere sight of a strange cat.
And my smallest runt of a cat (only 5lb) would be doing her ferocious charge which I thought was unique to her until I saw this video and realized she is simply channeling her inner cougar.
Terrifying to see in a big cat, not exactly calming even in a 5lb cat!
Terrifying! :th

I had no idea about Tannoy ~ which everyone else seems to know. :idunnoBut then Xanadu was one of the easy ones for me.:lau
Funny, Tannoy was the word that set the whole thing in motion! Our work Christmas party was the same day as the air show. One of my colleagues asked how it was and I replied “squall-y” (windy and rainy, although technically it’s meant to be at sea and for a precise duration and wind speed ) and she looked blankly at me and said “What does that mean?” Then she mentioned how our CEO (who is English) jokingly said our newly refurbed office was so big we’d need a Tannoy! Nat didn’t know what that meant and the CEO said “Everyone knows what a Tannoy is!” So Nat stuck her head into the main office and asked “Who knows what a Tannoy is?” And nobody knew! (I did but I wasn’t there). Then somebody mentioned ‘discombobulate’ and Nat said I should do a word challenge as a Christmas activity, so I did!

As a sailor another one I knew ~ & one I would have thought everyone would know.:idunnoOne of the 1st things you are taught is to watch for the wind squalls coming across the water. They appear as dark patches on the water & how dark they are & how fast they are moving gives you some indication of what to prepare for.

I think it is a fun game. And I got to learn something along the way.
Nicely done!
