Ribh's D'Coopage

Yes. Thanks, Shad. I am lucky to have a bedroom & a bed with my things as I like them there. I am so grateful & express my gratitude every night when I hop into bed. Being numerically challenged I do daft things - like write down when my assignments are due then never look @ the calendar again. Got a very nasty shock this morning as I hadn't even turned over to the new month. I was feeling very down about the archaeology, which I had been really looking forward to, but haven't really been able to contribute [contributing in the Tutes counts 🙄] but today was *social archaeology* ~ which I actually know something about apparently~ & not weird stuff like stratas & matrix & provenience ~ all the stuff I've always skipped as dull as ditchwater. And of course when I know something I know the weird stuff that nobody else does. Now I just have to buckle down & clear this couple of essays due @ the end of the week & I might feel a little more confident.
You are not alone in the calendar challenge thing. I am not numerically challenged and am a bit of a science geek (love strata - find it fascinating) but cannot for the life of me keep up on basic things like appointments and deadlines.
Somehow everything takes me by surprise a few hours before it is supposed to happen.
I have a long list of tricks I try on myself and routines I fail to adopt to help with this. Some work better than others but I think it is how we perceive time that is the problem (I think it has benefits too).
All to say I totally feel your pain on the deadlines and like all deadlines and other bad things, this too shall pass.
:hugs :hugs :hugs

I've never had them in the hordes I see here before. I blame the lad as much as the chickens. When the bait arrives it sometimes sits outside in the sun for hours before someone arrives to deal with it! :thFlies love fishy things even more than they love chicken poop. 🤮
The fish for sure. It draws from a much larger radius.

It's Portia. She's a Wyandotte frizzle. Wyandottes honk. Ask @BY Bob about it. :lau
It truly is the most endearing sound they make. I miss Sansa's little honk. I will miss it even more when I'm back in my chair under the tree and she doesn't peck at my thigh or honk at me to pay attention to her.

Toast and Spooky are headed to PA.

I think it's also important to remember that uni is supposed to be a genuine challenge. If it were easy, everyone would do it and then we'd have to invent something else over and above uni in order to support people in preparing for the rough and tumble of whatever profession they want to enter.
This is a very good point. You should have to work to garner the degree. This is important to keep in mind.

As you learn both yourself a you are today along with the university process you will get your feet under you and create a consistent way of working that brings everything together. Give yourself some time.
