Well my expectations are not real high. Only heard not great things about it growing up. When I moved to Vermont in '79 I blew right past Detroit and spent the night in Windsor Canada. Decisions made on no actual information.

Detroit has an interesting history. I've not been there but I've read a bit about it.

I’m not ready to get another cat again… so I will just enjoy everyone else’s lovely feeling posts for now, and the scaly cats too! Thanks everyone for sharing. Does this mean I might start managing to keep up with more than just FBAcres? I hope so.

I moved the house chat off of bob’s thread to a conversation of interested parties to avoid the chicken tax photos and boring everyone half to death! Currently working on the roof, and got a pneumatic nail gun for a belated b’day gift after I counted how many nails would be needed for the sheathing (this old shoulder doesn’t get along well with hammers). I’ve scrapped the second story and had to make the trusses bigger by 12 feet, so I chopped them in half and am adding in a patched up peak. I am Really struggling to hoist them onto the attic decking by myself though. I think if I tie the rope lower down my ramp/ladder system might work. I have one sort of stuck right now…

I am hoping to get the actual framework up by the end of the month, if hoisting plan F? G? I forget where I’m at works out. Otherwise I’m going to have to wrest more of our budget away from the in-laws and just suck it up and hire someone to help me get it the few extra feet higher off the ground I need them to flip them up onto the decking.

It's almost unfair. You have such beautiful cats who are enormously photogenic!

My secret, I have thousands of discarded photos.

While I do think my cats are very pretty I love the others posted here as well. Yours in particular are gorgeous cats. That picture that @RoyalChick posted today is just splendid. Not to mention Blossom and all the others. just love CaturdayI

Not sure I can imagine my life without cats.

Since leaving home it has been very rare that I have not had a cat. I think you could count the time in months at most.

Detroit has an interesting history. I've not been there but I've read a bit about it.

It is amazing how it has rebounded from the last financial disaster. I am a big fan of Detroit these days. When my daughter moved there it was a very sad scary place. It has rebounded quite spectacularly downtown. There is still a lot of work to be done and a lot of people left when the car industry failed. It is a much smaller city now than when it was at its peak.
