Ribh's D'Coopage

Yes, Kirby is trained to my whistle but he tends to ignore it if he's not ready to come. 🙄 I began using it because it carries much further than my voice & is not so annoying to the neighbours. Not sure he considers this home & he is really untrustworthy.
Yes - he would have to really feel at home for it to work.
I used a dog whistle which people can't hear but dogs and cats can. I was always nervous because I couldn't hear it - but the cats could!

Luckily, Blossom is very snack-focussed so all I do is call out puss puss puss and shake the treat packet and she comes running. Except for that one day I accidentally shut her in the shed, but she miaowed loudly for help which was very helpful.
That sounds like Diana - if I pick up the cup with scratch grains in it she will come thundering to my side!

It really is very handy. Before Blossom a cat called Yasmin lived with me and she would occupy the little coop (this was after the fox attack in which the first three hens were killed and before I had the big coop, which is fox proof). It didn't matter how much I called, she was so snug in the little coop, she wouldn't respond. If I was lucky, she'd sit up and then I'd see her little face through the window, watching me go about searching for her :lau

The only thing with the whistle is it sets every dog in the neighbourhood off. 🙄

YES, IT IS WEDNESDAY WHEREVER...😁

My head count was minus one tonight.
I double checked the coop then scoured the yard.
Then I called. Not that I think Chavi knows her name but she knows I look for her each evening. On my 3rd circuit I noticed movement in the mondo grass, then a little black head popped up as if to say: You looking for me?

Geat pictures Ribh. Is that how the eggs were when you lifted her out, or have you moved some?
