Yesterday afternoon (already Caturday in Oz) I lay down on the sofa for just a few minutes while pondering what chores to tackle next.
My big black cat went to sleep on my head! Naturally I was trapped and we had a good long nap together
These are not very good pictures as it was a bit difficult to get the camera in the right position (did I mention the cat was asleep on my head at the time?!)

I imagine he will expect a repeat performance this afternoon but I have way too much to do!
Both my boy cats have been unusually clingy since I got back from my trip. It is strange really because pre-Covid and retirement I used to travel a lot for work and they didn’t seem to care much.

It's been a rough few weeks. Most of my tinnies plus Shuri have been broody for weeks. It has caused a bit of squabbling as all the nesting boxes were occupied. I was pleased when Shuri, then Desdemona, quit & rejoined everyone else. Then in quick succession I lost both Shuri & Desi. I was devastated on top of losing Olivia. There was no indication anything was wrong until they upped & died on me. I have been seriously reconsidering keeping chickens & will not be replacing any time soon. I will relook @ the situation when/if I am able to move.
