D: WOW! Can we chew our way in?

E: I don't think we can. It's very thick.
D: Drat! Maybe they will share leftovers with us.

E: I'm going outside. I can't stand to smell this without eating any.

Oh, I had remembered. I just find it strange you have never run into the American version of the hall~less house.

The house we just moved into, really doesn't have hallways I never really thought about it until I was reading your posts.
This house was built in 1900 and wen they added the bathroom and another room on the back, you come in and have a little hall that the bathroom and bedroom shoot off of and the straight into the kitchen. Then you can go into the living room or into the office and then into another bedroom. The door for upstairs is in the kitchen. So no real hallways.

On a related note, that particular cat is a thief. She has always destroyed various bit of my clothing, but last week she came home with a doll!
