How wonderful.
Is it a long journey from where you are now?

It depends on your concept of distance. It's about a 9 hour drive for me. I will probably leave about 3am. That will get me through Brisbane & the Sunshine Coast before the traffic hits & everyone wakes up. After that it's pretty much empty highway & pretty scenery.
