Ribh's D'Coopage

Wrold got off her nest.
These 2 promptly got on it! 🙄

I've given up.
Three is a tight fit even though these are large boxes & my bantams are small.
I'll be lucky to hatch anything @ this rate!

My bantams like to share a nest too.

I often start with one broody and others keep laying extra eggs or like to join after a few days.
Sometimes the hens make too much fuss and I really need to separate the broodie(s) from the flock.

Mine have always insisted on sharing. The exception is Wrold. She has only ever shared with her sister, & that just her 1st year. When I shut the coop for the night she'd managed to kick Tootsie & Chavi out & had all her eggs to herself again. The troublesome twosome had moved back in with Alpia. The bonus is all the eggs are covered pretty much all the time as someone is sitting when the others go for self care. The downside is I have already lost about 3 eggs. One just disappeared. One got broken. And one got abandoned. Any hatchlings will be a bonus.

Im very curious how his offspring would look like. But you don’t have such plans with him, do you?
I actually do. The eggs under my girls presently are his. The mums are booted bantams. I would love to get a frizzled Campine from him & Ha'penny.

I'm a day late for Caturday but I do have quite a display to share.
