River Tank? fish and reptiles

I would love to take our 55 gallon aquarium that is not being used at the moment to set up an aquarium that will house lizards or something like that and some fresh water fish. I am not having much luck with my searches on-line. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction. I am just wondering if this would be more difficult to maintain. I need guidance on how to set it up...... Can someone point me in the right direction?

I did this once. Tree frogs are perfect for this environment. I use cardinal tetras for the fish. You need a biofilter made for this kind of set up.

Do a search for Paludariums, I believe that's what they are called. I think that is what you're looking for!

Great! I never heard of paludariums before! This is exactly what I want to set up. Not I just need to find a "Dummies Guide to Paludariums"!!!
