I have 6 Road Island Reds and one isn't looking as healthy as the others. The reason being is there is a lack of feathers (in a strip) down the front of her neck exposing the red skin. I have looked through the book but can't seem to come up with an answer. Any advice? Thank you!

Is this bird a chick or grown? All chicks don't feather in at the same time, it may be slower to do so. Do you see any signs of mites or lice, in the reddened area? Is there something in the coop or run that may be irritating her skin. Maybe when she bends down to eat or drink?
