Road Runner??

I was visiting a residental area that borded some woods... I heard a noise beside me and looked down and there on the sidewalk was a road runner!! He acted like he was a tame bird....he let me get as close as 3 foot away from him! I took pix with my cell..will post them later ...but just wondered if anyone heard of a road runner being a tame pet?? Let me know ?? Thanks !!

me and a friend had 1 come up to us within a foot,, i kept telling him ta watch it,, i think that bird has rabies

then we watched it jump up in a tree, found a nest, and swallowed the baby bird in 1 gulp ,, we have all kinds of them here,,,,, here at my house their thought of as predators...
