Rocky64's chat thread: anything is welcome

I think her infection is gone because she doesn't show any more signs of having one, but once they've had an infection, the chickens are carriers and can get other chickens sick, which is why I'm keeping Whitey away from her. I did see the natural history if chickens a few times. It's good but I wish it actually talked about the HISTORY of chickens. I was amazed that the hen that was frozen was still alive.

Me too!

If you bother with a chicken who is laying a egg will it affect the egg? Today LOTS of my chickens are laying so I had to have them each in their own nesting box so I moved them around, picked them up and put them each in their own nesting box. When I meen affect the egg I meen like would it or could it get stuck in the chicken if I just moved them around and picked them up. What do you think?

I've read on a thread here that a hen can lay an abnormal egg if it's stressed, but I don't think an egg would get stuck because you moved the hen, nor would I think one would go egg-bound because of it. Still, I would monitor them just to be safe.
