Ok, couldn't find the doxycycline. The eye looks good, hand feed him eggs ,chop meat, peas and sugar water yesterday everything took about 1 1-2 hours. Today still listless and not eating by himself.
I have tylan 50 should I orally give him that?
Or should I just take him to the vet 1-12 hour away?
Tom p.s thanks everyone
Tylan 50 can be given orally but it really needs to be given 3 or 4 times a day to work.

If vet care is doable, that's always best.

You have injectable Tylan50? Yes, you can use that since injections of Penicillin is not working well for you.
Since you think this is a wound from an attack and he is so listless. Personally, I would go with the max dosage of 40mg/kg. Which would be 0.36ml per pound of weight given orally 3 times a day for 5 days.
(Someone check my math please)

Do the best you can to keep him hydrated and entice him with whatever food you can.

I would give the Tylan 1/4 ml per pound 3 times a day. Give it slowly a drop or two at a time. Or hide it in food if he will take it. Did you decide whether this is a wound or a respiratory infection causing the eye pus?
I don't hear anything or see labored breathing and nothing from the nostrils. But guess what, pus is back I'm going to flush his eye with warm bottled water and see if I can get the last of it. Right now it's the not eating that's worrying me. While checking him also discovered black mites!

Last time I weighed him he was 8.2lbs probably less now. The only problem I have is my syringes are to big. Tough to get the right amount.

So that would be 2.88 ml of tylan?

Yes, 2.88 ml of Tylan 50 for 8 pounds. Can you get a couple of 3 ml syringes at TSC. They sell Gordons or Martins permethrin 10 concentrate to make a solution to use in a spray bottle 1 1/4 ounce (37 ml) per Gallon or 9 ml per quart. They have permethrin garden dust as well to use in cold weather. It is safe for mites and lice in poultry.
