As long as we collect eggs daily & they arent incubated, we can still eat them correct?

As long as you collect eggs within three days of them being laid, none of them will develop into chicks. Even if you collect them a week or two after being laid, they most likely won’t develop unless you have a hen sitting on them 24/7.

Seems like that happens with blue sex links like Sapphire Gems a lot more than with regular black sex links. I'm not sure why.

I think because the white head spot on the males is less defined in the blues.

He's so very sweet & kinda clumsy & timid...which is kinda funny now that I am learning He's a rooster!

He's very likely to do some crowing. There's always the chance he could turn mean, but most roosters do not.

It's your choice whether you wish to keep him or not. Do what is right for you and your family. There are resources available if you wish to re-home him.

The barring on the hackle, wings and sickles does look darker, but other areas look very blue on my screen.

Blue roosters are darker on top so that makes sense.
I'd better check my color. Lol
