Hi all!

This baby is a 4 week old whiting true green chick from McMurray hatchery. Just turned 4 weeks today. Is it safe to say it’s a roo? Or should I wait a couple weeks to make sure?

Also, when is a good time to rehome? We have an excellent rooster and are not looking to add another one.

I didn’t get any others of this breed so it’s hard to compare.

Thanks!!

I’m leaning towards cockerel, as that comb and those tail feathers are looking awfully perky— but I would wait a couple more weeks to be fully certain.
Also, what a cutie!

I think that’s what I’ll probably do!

The chick is super sweet (makes me lean even more towards roo) and full of personality!
