Roo or Not?! Black Laced Wyandotte that I’m totally in love with.

I'd also venture to confidently say cockerel.

A pullet at the stated age should be paler pink like the gal standing near by him.

Some roosters have not crowed until 18 months old while others have been as early as 3 weeks in my experience..

STARTING around 12 weeks gender specific saddle feathers are coming in, more flowing by 16 weeks, Pattern (like lacing) makes it hard to see on some but a hand or paper behind can help discern feather shape..

I absolutely hate to admit this, and I feel so dumb, but I honestly still don’t understand what I’m looking. Like I can definitely see the tail feathers, but the pattern part throws me for a loop.

So I’m so sorry if that’s frustrating but I would love to understand more! Just because I truly love this bird. I don’t understand the pattern difference cause I feel like he has a pattern.
