Okay the subject line says it all. I have a 2 y.o. Silkie roo. He is eating and active. I have even observed him making a tiny poo, this morning. My birds eat pellets, scratch, and fresh squash & pumpkin. The access to fresh veggies and water makes it highly unlikely that he is constipated. If he were a hen, I might think he was eggbound. What worries me is that every so often, he stops and bears down. When he does this, he loudly exhales - a creaky crow-like noise. He doesn't have any other symptoms. No lice, no breathing difficulties. The entire flock was wormed about a month ago.
An ideas, my Chicken Friends?
