Rooster attacked-Question and picture

Thanks to everyone who helped me out. Unfortunately we put him down a little while ago. We just thought the wound was too bad and there were so many maggots we were afraid they had gotten inside and were eating him alive or something horrible. He appeared to be suffering and it seemed that the peroxide was doing nothing to get rid of the maggots, they just kept coming out. The smell was horrible and I figured he was badly infected. We buried him beside the garden and had a little "chicken funeral" for him. I suppose the first one you have to put down is always the worse. Thanks again to everyone, I really appreciate you all.
