Rooster Breeds

[The Angry Hen]

Hello Everybody,

I got a Del/Dork rooster last year.
I had a baby from him.

I have a flock of thirteen hens in another coop, I put four of them with the Del rooster.
I want to get a rooster for the now remaining 9.
I'd like a breed that is lighter than a Cochin (I have Faverolles and a Cochin might not work)
Or can it?
Should I get a Faverolle rooster?
A Brahma rooster?
A SS rooster? A Cochin? Or a totally different breed?
Here is the breed type I want:
Sweet,
Gentle with the hens,
NOT shy,
Handsome,
Here are the only comb types that will work in my flock: Rose, Pea, Single, or maybe cushion or buttercup.
If I got then hen of the suggested breed I'd PREFER brown eggs.
Minimum weight '6 Pd's max: 12 Pd's

Austrolorp roosters are very friendly and sweet, do not fight among themselves. The hens are excellent layers and sweet. They make great pets. I don't have an Austrolorp, but if I need any more chickens I am going to think about getting one. I highly suggest getting an Austrolorp.

But...
I had four Australorps.
1 hen is a good mother,

1 hen was mean to a baby chick before we got to the barn,

(The chick is luckily okay though)
1 rooster attacked the hens and my Dad's back,
And one rooster attacked my leg.

So I doubt their all like that, but we haven't had the best of luck with 'em.

I've got a Partridge Wyandotte cockerel (he's a bantam, but they also come in LF) called Pip, who's the sweetest thing! He's GORGEOUS, has a really calm personality, plus is a real gentleman with the ladies

Wyandotte hens also lay brown eggs and are very hardy....

Yes I have a Golden Laced Wyandotte hen (never had a rooster.)
I have never had silver laced or partridge, thanks for the suggestion!

The rooster is handsome and the hens are beautiful!
I'll consider one of them...
