I have a 8 month old Araucana rooster that has started to chase two of my hens. He is the same age as these as they were all chicks and brooded together. He doesn't chase any of the other hens just these two. His head is down and goes for it. They won't go in the same run as him but they do perch together in the evening. This has been going on for a few weeks but I've started to notice a few of there feathers have been pulled out. Is this just growing up, hormones type of thing or could it be something else. My hens are my priority. He will be gone if he won't stop.

Sounds like he has begun to try to mate with the hens

His hormones get the better of him and he prefers those girls do you have another place to put him ?
I could make another pen within the run but i need it for a growout pen! He's not at them all the time but when he does it's chickens and feathers everywhere.
