Rooster Crow A lot In Morning

My tootoo sleeps all night ..because I don't hear crow in at 1am or 2 ..he eats his dinner at 9 pm then he sleeps ..and woke up at 3-3:30am
This rooster is lowest rank so I think whenever he wakes up he tries to beat the other 2!

Can you cover the crate? The reason I ask is because we used to cover our cockatiel's cage at night so that he would sleep and be quiet. I didn't know if the same could be done with a rooster.

The op said it was hot where she lived so I was concerned about the roosters succumbing to heat exhaustion.

My roosters certainly crow at night, I also run lights in the early morning to keep the girls firing. If I go out I can hear many others crowing as well. Who started it, who knows, but each one is going to be the last one to crow, LOL. But it seems to me it is an "all clear" signal, as in no predators spotted. Now if one calls a warning in the night, I am out the door with a gun! (I am in the country, more or less, my place is 1/4 mile square)
My neighbors are all methheads, and I no longer give a rats behind as to what they think. I hope to have better when I move!

Oh. Right. She is from India. Good thinking. But, it can be done if needed? I actually don't know - just checking.

Yes, you can cover the crate just make sure they don't over heat. You can over with shade cloth which is dark but allows air to pass through.
