Hi all! I have a brown leghorn cockerel who is just shy of 2 months old. This morning I heard what sounded like a dying cat screech. I went to my garage to find that it was actually my male leghorn named Peanut. Everything I have read in my very little research suggests that it should not start crowing until later on. Does anybody know if this is normal? Or is Peanut just a weirdo...

This is my 8 week old Black Copper Marans. He started “croaking”

at 6 weeks. He is about halfway to a real crow now. He sure practices a lot!

My CX is 10 weeks and is starting to make rooster sounds, so it just depends ion the bird(s). But most of mine have not started till at least 20 weeks.
