Rooster having trouble walking

Ok. I’ll keep him crated.
Just a reminder of how to:
This is what I do for a limping bird, have had a few.
If limp is really bothering them by inhibiting their normal activities too much, I will isolate them in a crate to 'force' rest for a day or two. Letting them out late in day, an hour before roost time, to give them a stretch and evaluate their mobility, then decide if they need another day and put them back in crate off roost after dark. Repeat stretch and eval the next day until they are better. Keep crate in coop so bird can remain 'with' the flock.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

How do you know the difference between a break and a sprain? Is it the same treatment (crate)?
Most folks can't, unless it's a compound break(end of bone thru skin) or you get an xray.
Crate rest it is, unless you can afford avian vet care.

It will be two weeks on Sunday. I know art said it could take weeks for a sprain. Shouldn't I be seeing some improvement by now? If it is a break, I assume that takes longer than a sprain to heal?

Wasn't there another wound...the yellow chunks on skin?

You caught glimpse of the photos I deleted I see. I took them down because I believe those yellow spots were from injections I gave to him of antibiotics, and I also gave him corid. I wanted to cover all my bases just in case. I'm not sure if this was the right move or not, but I didn't know what to do besides wait and crate him. Neither antibiotics or corid helped improve the symptoms. Those yellows spots were from the injection sites (I alternated sides). It didn't dawn on me until I posted them here, then I figured out what they were.
