Rooster labored breathing and tongue going back in mouth

If he's stopped with this crisis, then it was most likely an obstruction in his airway. As I pointed out in my previous post, these clear up on their own in just a day, as a rule. Glad to hear he's doing fine now. I know how worried you were.
 
Thank you everyone! He had stopped breathing heavily when my family got home. He was walking around and was good just tired. It was well past bedtime. So I kept imhim in the house. I checked on him multiple times and all seemed well. I guess he woke up around 4 am to crow, made an awful noise and died. We tried to help but he was gone fast. We had him 6 years and he was one I hatched at home.
 
So sad to lose a good roo. I'm thinking now that he had a heart lung type defect. I lost a roo a long time ago to something very similar.
