Rooster Losing Balance

I've been giving him vitamin e for a week. He hasn't shown any improvement.

Would that be so sudden? How would I treat that?
Vitamin e for a week, no improvement. Okay.

Virtego can appear out of nowhere. Not sure if it can be treated in chickens. It's harmless, but leaves the chicken vulnerable to predators, & being picked on by flock mates.

actually yes Vertigo can come on rapidly, I know from personal experience. for me it was put head down and turn to one side then the other and hold for a count of 5 each way and slowly a couple of times a day, increasing the count by 5 until what ever was pushing in the ear causing the vertigo. sometimes it would take me a couple of days to get rid of it and if it comes back I have to restart, it causes off balance and feels like the world is spinning while your staying stationary.

I'll look into it... Do the videos of him match the symptoms?

I would say it's a good possibility he's having some type of ear issue infection, even mites something got in his ears, causing his imbalance, I walked a lot like him when it hit me

Not sure how you would look in a roosters ear though to check see if you sould see anything .

My go to for it is warm compresses on ear in-between irrigating it and a home made oil of sliced garlic pice in olive oil, but that takes 5 days to make, but not to familiar with the chickens ear, will try to do some research for you

there are also several threads here about chickens with Vertigo, but cortisone is used on us for it I just can't take it might get some cortisone ointment and apply around the ear area and maybe amoxicillin 250mg in case it's an ear infection, problem with ear infections is they can be bacterial or fungal like yeast, if it's yeast you would treat with a cream more like for athletes foot

Does it get progressively worst? I've noticed that he really struggles when I pick up up, which he's never done before, and I thought it might confuse him when he's lifted into the air.
Virtego can vary from a little dizzy, to super dizzy within minutes sometimes. I also suffer from virtego off, & on.

very well could be a genetics issue, if he's doing same thing. if so I would look elsewhere for birds than where you got them.
