Oh that makes sense! Ours is from McMurray!Just different genetics from different hatcheries. Sallie is a Meyers hatchery bird. They inherit subtle differences from the breeder flock.
Can you get pics like #2 & 3 of post 16? Juveniles do go through several little mini molts... and I'm not making anything out for saddle area either from the new pics.

So far Meyer has been the best overall hatchery quality I have seen.
