Rooster? Raising Chicks?

Do you have other chickens? or are these your only ones?

I had others in the beginning. But now it’s just the pair & of course the chicks.
1 of which was another male & he was clearly the dominant. He always picked on this little guy which was why I decided 2 re-home him along with 2 females.

adorable!!! It's been awhile since I raised silkies but that roo looks like a hen to me.

I’m a newbie myself. We always had chickens growing up but this is my 1st go of it. Never had bantams. I love them so much. They are so sweet & fluffy!

What makes you think he is a rooster so confidently?

Well I’m not a pro but for starters he’s nvr laid an egg before! lol
He looks very different from his partner. I’ll add more pictures.

I’m no good at sexing silkies, but it does look like a hen. Someone else will have to help confirm.

This link might help. It's been like 20 yrs ago since I had them. But I remember my girls looking like this, my roos had showier pom pom on the head and waddles and usually the comb was bigger, the tail more rounded and poofier.

Hmm. Both look like hens to me but I'm not an expert.
